Weekly review: 19th February 2021
Health features large this week, and we've also got interviews with Rugby Farmers' Mart and Old Laurentians RFC; Covid-19 figures; what's on this weekend and a man-hole cover update.
This week
Health matters to us all, and this week we featured three important stories in our free articles. Volunteers are making Cawston Greenway into a nature trail for the whole community, and gaining better mental health as they do it. Our South Rugby churches joined a national call to fight covid-19 vaccine misinformation.
South Rugby GP Dr Erica Wright said: “As a GP I would fully back having the Covid-19 vaccine and encourage those to attend when invited for their vaccination. I’ve had my first vaccination - it was a quick and uncomplicated procedure. Please help the UK with the fight against Covid-19 and have your vaccination when called.”
We also reported on the latest draft air quality data available from Rugby Borough Council.
For our paying subscribers this week we had the following stories:
What should South Rugby’s transport look like in the future?
Old Laurentians RFC: “We’ll still be there after lockdown ends”

Be a firefly!
Next month, the Royal Shakespeare Company has a retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, set in a virtual forest. Puck is on a mission with his four sprites, and he’s the guide for this 50-minute immersive experience.
It’s a live, online performance, where the audience can choose to be a firefly, “lighting the forest for Puck and influencing what is happening in the world of the performance with movements of the mouse, trackpad or touchscreen. Guided by Puck you explore and support him on his mission.”
Dream is online from 12th to 20th March 2021.
