HS2 works diversion sends HGVs through Dunchurch for three weeks
The diversion comes at the same time as roadworks on the Dun Cow crossroads in the village cause long traffic delays.
HGVs are being diverted via Dunchurch for three weeks from today (12th November 2021), while work on HS2 closes the Fosse Way at Offchurch.
All traffic is being diverted on the A423, but vehicles taller than 15’3 feet (4.6m) will be sent via Dunchurch because of the low bridge at Marton.
The diversion comes at the same time as works on the Dunchurch crossroads under Warwickshire County Council’s remit cause long traffic queues.
We got in touch with HS2 for their response to residents already concerned about traffic in the village
