Green garden waste bin collections were suspended on 2nd August 2021 in Bourton, Dunchurch, Frankton, Houlton and Thurlaston.

Rugby Borough Council said the suspension was down to staffing issues because of crew illness.

The council posted on Facebook in the afternoon telling residents to leave bins out.

“We are sorry that we will not be able to collect green garden waste bins due today in Dunchurch and Thurlaston. Please leave your bin available for collection - we aim to return for them as soon as we can. Thank you for your understanding.”

A council spokesperson told us on Tuesday: “It's a pretty fluid situation at the moment. We're advising all customers due for a green bin collection to leave green bins out for collection, as we're looking to collect as and when we can.”
